Vintage collectible quality 1972 350SL Classic Roadster

With a design run spanning unchanged from 1972-89, fans around the world feel the “107 body” SL is one of the cars that most embodies the image of Mercedes-Benz. When somebody says “Mercedes-Benz”, for most of us, this is the image that comes to mind. The design of this model was the beginning of the new “modern” look for Mercedes-Benz, and introduced to the US Market in 1972.  This updated styling would be seen in all their designs introduced well into the 1980s. The 1972 350SL (with 4.5 Liter V8) were only offered in the US for one year, later offered in 73 as a 450SL. With very limited production numbers many believe the 350SL to be the next to enjoy values that have risen steadily over the last number of years …

Extraordinary example, finished in Carnelian Red with Red MB Tex, Matching Hardtop, Black Soft Top. US Model, with European headlights, Manufactured in May of 1972,  same California Owner from 1976 until  2002, Bare metal paint restoration/ engine out detail, body seals, new soft top, etc completed between 2001-2003. Driven less than 8,000 miles since completion in the last 12 years. Power Windows, and Functioning A/C. Fully documented history, with a folder two inches thick with complete service history, registration owner history, along with owners mileage journal. Has it’s original books, data plate, Kardex copy, even has it’s original new car pre-delivery inspection along with it’s original top wrenches in their pouch.
