1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Coupe, (111 Body) Classic elegance, these were the last of the hand-built Mercedes big body coupes. Only 13 cars per week rolled off the production line in these years, with fewer than 3,800 cars produced worldwide between 1968-1971. This car sold new in January of 1970 to “Hoot” Williams, partner in Nowak & Williams Supply Co in Fort Wayne, Indiana. One of the most desirable Business Coupes of it’s time, this car was meticulously maintained by “Hoot” and it’s successor owners since. Gorgeous combination in Dark Green with Cognac Leather. A very original example, Paint, Body and Interior in Beautiful condition for it’s age. Some rust and corrosion noted on the undercarriage, typical for an unrestored car this age, still retains it’s original floor pans, Fantastic drive, mechanically very well cared for. Being mostly original, headliner ready for some attention, and minor wood refinish on a couple of trim pieces, molding replacement, etc, items typical for it’s age.
